888 sees shares slump

28 May 2010

LONDON, England -- 888 Holdings saw its shares fall 18 % today according to a MarketWatch report.

The company cited a decline in the volume of online poker players and the imminent World Cup as factors, MarketWatch said.

While 888 remarked that reduced players is an industry wide trend, they noted that the weakness of sterling and the euro against the dollar are also factors that impact their revenue, the report noted.
