Betsson AB responds to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act

10 October 2006

Earlier this month, a new bill was presented in the United States to prohibit the forwarding of payment transactions for online gambling.

Betsson's operations are carried out within two independent business areas; Net Entertainment which sells system solutions for online gaming and Betsson Online which provides online gaming towards the end customer.

Net Entertainment receives less than 8% of its income from the U.S., while Betsson Online receives a mere 3% of its income from the U.S. Betsson Online's two major brands - Betsson.com and CasinoEuro.com - have, for sometime now, not accepted customers from the U.S.

If the above bill is passed, it will not have any considerable effects on the company's income. The Board previously decided that all shares within the business area Net Entertainment will be distributed to Betsson's shareholders.
