Ladbrokes bid on 888 worries investors

29 December 2010

LONDON, England -- Richard Glynn, Ladbrokes new executive, is coming under scrutiny according to a Guardian report.

The scrutiny comes as a result of Glynn's decision to bid for online gambling company 888 Holdings, the report said.

His judgement is being questioned because 888 earnings are down and they "may have breached" US internet gambling laws, The Guardian report explained.

However negotiations between Ladbrokes and 888 are ongoing, the report noted.
