Eureka Poker tour stops in Germany

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Following a successful German debut last year, the Eureka Poker Tour sponsored by PokerStars is returning to the vibrant city of Hamburg for the third stop of Season Six. The festival, which runs Sept. 23-Oct. 3, will consist of 14 events with buy-ins ranging from €170 to €2,200. Online qualifies launch this Sunday on PokerStars, an Amaya Inc. brand.

The festival takes place at the Casino Schenefeld in the suburbs of Hamburg with the first of three Day 1's of the headline €1,100 Main Event scheduled for Sept. 28. There will also be two High Roller events: a €2,200 NLHE on Sept. 27-28 and a €2,200 PLO single re-entry running Oct. 1-2.

The €330 Hamburg Cup is returning and will run from Sept. 29–Oct. 3. PokerStars online qualifiers are invited to bring a guest to the Eureka Hamburg player party on Oct. 1.

There will be a wide spread of cash games on offer throughout the festival making for another exciting and accessible stop in Germany. The full schedule can be found on the Eureka Poker tour website.

Last year's festival drew more than 1,000 players generating total prize pools of more than €1 million. The main event had 581 entries with a total prize pool of €563,570 and was won by Tom Holke for €107,920.

The Eureka Poker Tour season concludes with its Grand Final, which will run as part of European Poker Tour Prague festivities in December.

Many of the region's leading poker players are expected to make their presence felt at the event, including Team PokerStars Pro and recent WSOP bracelet winner George Danzer, who said, "I'm thrilled that the Eureka Poker Tour is returning to Hamburg. I didn't get to play in last year's event so I can't wait to play this year. I would love to win a title on German soil."
