Checkd Group appoints Sam Turnock as new Finance Director

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Checkd Group has promoted Sam Turnock to the position of Finance Director, as the UK-based iGaming company bids to continue accelerating its growth through the execution of successful business strategies.

Turnock’s new role will see him head up the business intelligence area of the organization, while also managing all of the group’s finances across its Checkd Media, Checkd Dev and Checkd International subsidiaries.

Having originally joined Checkd in June 2019, Turnock progressed to become Financial Controller of Checkd Media. He was instrumental in the successful launch of North America-focused sports betting community site FlashPicks and the acquisition of 10 CPA state licenses in the United States.

Turnock takes on his new job as Finance Director at a crucial time for the business, with North American growth recently fueled by the launch of the new Smart Picks betting data tool.

This follows a series of notable successes for the Group’s award-winning Dev division, with bespoke tech solutions for media and betting operator partners including Sky Bet’s Acca Assist, the Sky Sports Fantasy Football platform and the talkSPORT EDGE app.
