Ladbrokes' 888 takeover talks over

LONDON, England -- Talks between Ladbrokes and 888 have collapsed, according to the UK Press Association.

Agreement on a price failed to be achieved, the report said.

The two companies have been in talks since December, Ladbrokes chief exec said "it was not in the interests of shareholders" but the company will continue to look for other takeovers, according to the UK Press Association report.
