WIREX is a modern and dynamic software house providing entertainment platforms for gaming, betting and gambling operators. Originally established in 1996 in Italy, started to develop gaming applications in 1998 on behalf of a well-known UK licensed bookmaker.
Between 1998 and 2002, the first betting platform release was enhanced with new applications, not only to satisfy operator's requirements but with the main goal of satisfying user's needs. During this span, Wirex understood that every player had his own attributes and operators must be able to offer customized services according to their own customers' features.

Wirex started to work on a high-flying project that revolutionized the entertainment technology industry: the company aimed to develop a really user-friendly platform, meaning something that players use in their everyday life. This path led Wirex to develop a software with a unique account and a unique e-wallet, multi currencies, multi languages, very user friendly. Between 2002 and 2003 Wirex presented the first flash betting platform on the internet: a revolutionary interface welcoming the player in a 'Windows style' environment, enabling both players and operators to have an all-in one gaming platform.
In 2004 Wirex was chosen by SportingBet Italia Spa (controlled by Sportingbet Plc) as its software provider; BetSite was tailored according to the Italian requirements enabling Sportingbet to both manage its bettingshop network and online users.

In 2007 Wirex developed the new version of the PSQF protocol to connect to the Italian AAMS, the gaming authority. During 2007 and 2008 Wirex decided to enter the gambling software industry, working ambitiously on a Live Casino project together with a Maltese Partner, Portomaso Casino, where actually the servers, cameras and tables of the Live Platform would be based.

In October the Live Roulette Table was launched together with the PuntoBanco; a few months later the Live Blackjack table followed. Much appreciated is the unique back end solution for sports betting as well as live casino and third party software. With a unique account players are able to bet and play across all the integrated gaming products offered.
In August 2009 Wirex became an authorized AAMS provider. From now on it will be easier for all the Italian concession owners to connect to AAMS through SOGEI and start operating into the Italian legal betting and gaming market.
In 2010 Wirex launched the online slot machines (traditional, classic and video slots) developed together with Portomaso Casino's Slot managers & technicians, that carry over 20 years of experience in the land based industry and thus familiar with the exigent needs of every customer.

The live tables module produced together with Grinder Limited (owner of the Portomaso Casino in Malta), set up to provide live stream from a real land based casino with licensed dealers: Live Roulette and Live Puntobanco, a variation of Baccarat and Blackjack in the s.c. strategy version. From February 2013 we also launched the new version of the Blackjack (2.0) from a studio within the Casino. At June 2013, more than sixty different gaming site are offering Wirex-Portomaso Live Casino Platform In November 2012, Wirex Live Casino platform was certified and passed the AAMS testing phase to be installed in Italia from Casinò di Venezia (the Italian one), the biggest land based casino in Europe.

After the launch in 2008 of Wirex's Live Casino platform, the most recent product developed is the RNG Casino with virtual tables and a tailor made "Slots Palace" offering a number of random generated casino & slot games, developed focusing on the specific necessities of the end user, security and performance. Wirex develops BetSite, a front-end and back-office solutionthat includes a platform enabling to manage a bettingshops or affiliated partners network (for countries like Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Czech Republic etc.). Wirex Betsite is fully personalisable in html or flash, can be connected to the Italian AAMS/SOGEI gaming authority and is licensed to operate in Malta and UK as well.
