From Trust to Transformation: FICCI at the Indo-German Business Forum & Inauguration of the India Centre at the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) in Berlin, Germany At the Indo-German Business Forum and the inauguration of the India Centre at DGAP, Germany, FICCI Secretary General underscored the need to translate the longstanding trust between India and Germany into greater ambition, stronger partnerships and tangible business outcomes. With economic ties already strong, the biggest opportunities lie ahead. Germany brings engineering excellence and advanced technology, while India offers scale, entrepreneurial energy and a dynamic market. Together, the two countries can move beyond buying and selling to designing, manufacturing and innovating together. The India–EU Free Trade Agreement opens new avenues for collaboration. Three priorities stand out: 🔹 Deepen industrial partnerships through joint ventures that combine German technology with Indian capabilities. 🔹 Connect businesses by bringing Germany’s Mittelstand closer to India’s MSMEs. 🔹 Build for the future through cooperation on skills, standards and sustainability. India should be seen not merely as a market to enter, but as a strategic partner with whom German businesses can build their next phase of growth. FICCI stands ready to turn introductions into partnerships and partnerships into projects, backed by shared commitment and sustained engagement from both sides. #FICCI #IndiaGermany #IndoGermanPartnership #DGAP #IndiaEUFTA #Mittelstand #MSMEs #GlobalPartnerships Piyush Goyal Piyush Goyal Office Dept of Commerce, GoI Minister of Commerce and Industry
